Strategy:
I worked on creating comprehensive study guides for each unit and that follow certain topics through history. I have documents about topics like women, art, and important monarchs as an easy guide to see how these things changed over time. My unit study guides have information from all the sources I’ve had this year, like the textbook, AP Achiever, and class notes which covered videos. I also inserted maps, timelines and other images when they would be helpful. I spent some time watching online videos and documentaries on Netflix. I watched a really interesting documentary on the rise of Hitler that really helped me be engaged in the content. It was also a good way to remember events because I could associate them with images.
I also worked with a study group. This was the group that I was a part of to make the website, and we worked together on compiling resources and getting overviews on last semester’s topics. Also, I worked with a different group of girls to create a comprehensive powerpoint. Working in this group, I helped lecture and tutor some other students, which in turn forced me to really understand the material. I enjoyed this kind of peer tutoring activity, which enabled me to review while helping some of my fellow students.

Reflection:
I have learned a lot about the importance of scheduling and starting early on the review, because I did not start early enough for my own review. I worked a little too slowly covering the first few units and learning them in-depth and had to rush on covering the rest of the material. I did learn a lot about putting together my notes and how to review. I review best by looking over a variety of different materials and then forcing myself to pick out the most relevant information by making my own study guide or summary of events. This process forces me to really understand the material because I have to put it into my own words, and making it myself helps me remember it.
I also learned more about studying in a group and how it needs to stay small in order to be effective. I think that the Weebly project is a very good idea and recognizes the fact that mos of our resources are online now. Weebly itself is a little inconvenient, but I think that it is the best way to make this kind of project for free. I think the idea of having all of these resources in one place is very helpful wen reviewing for the test.
