All sections must be utilized to gain maximum understanding of the topics, also using additional resources such as class notes, textbook, and AP Achiever. It is best if the student first uses the timeline, to get a general idea of hub dates in the era and then move on to the PowerPoints to build their knowledge. The PowerPoints give broad background knowledge to familiarize the student with the information. The websites and videos should be viewed interchangeably as they reinforce each other. Once in depth knowledge is attained, the studier should complete the practice tests to check their knowledge and make sure they are not experiencing fluency illusion.

Reflection
Throughout my preparation process for the first AP exam I have ever taken, I learned many things. Arguably the most important was starting to study early enough. Although I started reviewing at the beginning of April, I was more relaxed about it and didn’t try to move too fast. That means that I went into a lot of detail but then when it became closer to the test, I realized that there were still many units that I hadn’t touched and needed to review. That was problematic because even though it was over a week before the test, I felt like I was cramming. Even though cramming works for normal tests, it is an ineffective way to cover the whole year and retain the information. I realized that the best way for me to study was to get an overarching idea of the topic, with some important specifics, then do practice tests to test my understanding and decide whether I needed to go back and review a certain section more.
First Practice Exam: 47/80
4/30/15 State Test 1
Second Practice Exam: 48/80
5/3/15 State Test 2
